Daroma Style Roman LampDescription
Well made and generally well preserved except for handle broken off and ware and use of the lamp. The wick nozzle is very similar to the Herodian lamps but the oil hole is much smaller and more like some of the Roman discus lamps. Though they are worn it is clear that there were decorations all around the oil hole like the discus lamps. It seems to be a transition lamp between the Herodian and the discus lamps. It is an interesting and unusual lamp. Part of the Lovelace Collection. (L055-164L)Collections
