Ushabti FigureDescription
This crude figurine of clay, cheaper than faience, accompanied the burial of one of the poorest in Egyptian society. It may appear to be female, but the hair and crossed arms with clenched hands are typical of Osiris figures.. The figure was repaired because the bottom portion was broken off at one time. This is part of the Lovelace Collection that was purchased about 1985. On the back of the figure appears a sticker which has the number of RC3 and MG29.Collections
