Both plaques are composed of Roman glass, melted, molded, and stamped with crude busts. The images resemble Near Eastern grave makers of the Roman and Byzantine periods. In reality they are fakes, made in Syria in the early 1900s, and are thus real antiques, but not antiquities. 14 is 1 ½ wide with 2 figures;15 is 1 ¾ wide with 3 figures.en_US
